Updated

How to create your first generation

  1. In the top navigation, choose Image or Video, depending on what you want to create.

  2. Select a model or feature. Each section shows what is available. Pick based on your goal, or start with the default.

  3. Enter a prompt describing what you want to create.

  4. Upload a reference image if the model supports it.

  5. Adjust any settings, such as duration, aspect ratio, or resolution.

  6. Click Generate.

Your generation appears in Assets when it's done.

What is a prompt?

A prompt is a text description of what you want the AI to create. The more specific, the better. For the full guide with examples, see How do I write a good prompt?

Example video prompt:

A close-up of a dancer mid-spin on a rooftop at golden hour, slow motion, cinematic lighting, shallow depth of field.

Example image prompt:

Fashion editorial portrait, studio lighting, high detail, magazine photography.

How long does generation take?

Usually a few minutes. Images are usually faster, while video can take longer, especially at higher resolutions. If a generation seems stuck, see My generation is stuck, pending, or failed. What should I do?

Where do my generations appear?

Your generations appear in the section where you generated them, and also in Assets, where all your content is collected in one place.
