The challenge
Before Higgsfield, pre-production was often the longest or most expensive part of a campaign at Double Shots. The Taipei studio, founded in 2020, runs a team of 14 and delivers roughly 100 campaigns a year for consumer brands across tech, F&B, beauty, and crypto. A typical project opened the same way: reference hunts, mood boards assembled from stock footage and hand-drawn storyboards. Much of that work happened before the team had anything tangible to test.
Geography made it harder. Taipei offers limited access to foreign-looking architecture, sweeping city vistas, or studio space large enough for the sets the team wanted to build. When a shot list collided with those limits, the studio often had to change the idea.
In spring 2026, Double Shots produced two music videos for 郁欣 Ivy, directed by Henry Tao. The shot lists included scenes that were impractical to capture physically: time, weather, location, and budget all stood in the way. This time, the studio kept the shots in.
