Generate AI Video and Generate AI Image handle creation. Reframe, Remove Background, Draw to Edit, and Upscale handle the finishing work that normally requires a separate tool. Edit Video applies a described change to existing footage without rebuilding the shot.

How to Install

macOS:

Step 1. Download the .dmg from higgsfield.ai/plugins/after-effects. The installer is a universal binary for Apple Silicon (M1 through M4) and Intel, no helper app required.

Step 2. Open the .dmg, drag Higgsfield to Applications, double-click to launch. It detects After Effects automatically.

Step 3. Launch After Effects and go to Window → Extensions → Higgsfield.

Windows:

Step 1. Download and install the free ZXP Installer from aescripts.com/learn/zxp-installer.

Step 2. Download the Higgsfield .zxp file and drag it onto the open ZXP Installer window.

Step 3. Open After Effects and go to Window → Extensions → Higgsfield.

Requirements: After Effects 2024 (24.0) or newer, on Windows 10/11 (64-bit) or macOS. Older versions are not supported. An internet connection is required for every generation since AI inference runs on Higgsfield's servers, and the result is sent back into your timeline.

What It Costs

The plugin runs on the same Higgsfield credits as the web platform. You will not need a separate account, a separate credit pool, or pay any markup for using the Adobe integration instead of the web interface. If a model is on your plan's Unlimited list, it generates without consuming credits through the plugin the same way it does on higgsfield.ai.

Who This Is Actually For

The plugin is built for people already living inside Adobe's ecosystem who do not want to leave it for generation work.
