How do I get a refund for an accidental charge?

Updated

Accidental purchases are refundable under the standard policy, so contact Support as soon as you notice the charge. The most common cases are an accidental upgrade, choosing annual instead of monthly, an accidental Credit Pack purchase, or a duplicate charge. There's no separate form: accidental charges are handled through the standard refund process.

How do I report a duplicate charge?

If the same amount was charged twice, first check whether both are real charges: open Manage AccountSubscriptionUpcoming InvoiceAll invoices.

Some banks show a temporary authorization hold alongside the actual charge: it's not a real charge, and it drops off on its own. See What should I do if my payment failed?

If both charges appear in your billing history, contact Support with the dates and amounts of both transactions, and the team will review and resolve confirmed duplicates directly.

What if I don't recognize the charge at all?

An unfamiliar charge usually has an explanation: an automatic renewal, a prorated upgrade, an Auto-Refill top-up, or tax added at checkout. Check your billing history first, and see How does billing work? for the full list of reasons. If the charge still can't be identified, contact Support with the date and amount.

What about unnoticed renewals?

Automatic renewals aren't refundable. A renewal isn't an initial purchase, so it falls outside the standard refund policy whether or not you noticed it. To stop future renewals, cancel before the next billing date: see How do I cancel my subscription? Your next renewal date is shown in Manage AccountSubscription, at the top under your plan name.

How quickly should I contact Support?

As soon as you notice the charge. The eligibility window is 7 days from the purchase date or as permitted by the law in your jurisdiction, and requests submitted earlier are faster to process and verify. Check your eligibility before submitting: see How do I request a refund?

What do I need to include in my request?

Include the email address associated with your Higgsfield account, the date and amount of the charge, and a description of what happened, for example "I selected annual instead of monthly," "I clicked upgrade by mistake," or "I was charged twice for the same purchase."

Contact: higgsfield.ai/contact. Processing terms, the service fee, and what happens after approval are the same as for any refund: see How do I request a refund?

Got any questions left?

Contact us through higgsfield.ai/contact with the date, amount, and a note that the upgrade was accidental. If you're within the eligibility window and no credits have been used, you're eligible for a refund.

Contact Support as soon as possible. If the purchase was within the eligibility window and no credits have been used, it's refundable under the standard policy, and you can then subscribe to the monthly plan. Outside the window, the annual plan stays active until the end of the paid year.

Check your billing history first: one of the two may be a temporary bank hold that drops off on its own. If both are real charges, contact Support with both dates and amounts, and the team will resolve it.
