Making and using an Element

The previous lesson explained why Elements preserve identity. This one is only the workflow: Approve a frame → Create Element → Reuse with @. Stay inside one project from start to finish.

Save the approved frame

1 · Pick the frame worth repeating

Start from the approved courier frame in the demo folder — highlight it, don't open it yet. Save an Element only when the identity is strong enough to carry into another shot; the Element locks the choice you make here.

2 · Open the frame and reach for ⋯

Open the frame. Its detail view keeps the source in front of you; the moves that belong to this exact generation live in the ⋯ More menu, highlighted here.

3 · Choose Create Element

Open ⋯ and choose Create Element. The frame is already the reference, so there's no download-and-reupload detour — you go straight to naming it.

4 · Name it for the crew

The Element editor opens with the frame attached. Use courier-rhea and category Character: the name tells the crew who to cast, the category tells Cinema Studio how the reference behaves. Create saves it — the preview leaves that press to you.

Reuse it in the next shot

5 · Find the @ control

Back in the same project's Prompt Box. The @ control is how you cast a saved identity into a shot — it pulls from this project's Elements, so the courier you just saved is one search away.

6 · Cast the Element with @

Press @ and search courier-rhea. Choosing the saved Element is the casting step: you hand the model the locked identity instead of asking it to invent the courier again. Once picked, the @courier-rhea reference rides in the prompt — no reference visible means the next shot isn't using the saved identity yet.

Reference: My elements in the global sidebar is where you manage the wider library later; you do not need to leave this project to complete the workflow.

Create once, reuse once

Choose one generation in your project, turn it into an Element with a production-ready name and category, then place it into a new prompt with @. You pass when the Element's @name is visible in the prompt before Generate.

Next, you will apply the same production discipline to a finished video: decide whether to continue from it, change it, or regenerate it.
