Generations are blocked when a prompt or reference image contains recognizable copyrighted characters, brand names, or licensed IP. Common triggers are named fictional characters, sports teams and leagues, branded logos, and specific living artists' names. If you were creating something original and the filter caught it by mistake, rephrase in descriptive language and retry. Generating protected characters and brands themselves isn't supported.
Why was my generation blocked for IP reasons?
Higgsfield's safety system checks prompts and reference inputs for recognizable intellectual property. Generations that reference copyrighted characters, franchise names, branded IP, or specific living artists by name may be blocked to comply with copyright law.
Some models, such as Seedance, also run their own separate IP check that Higgsfield can't override, similar to how external NSFW filters work.

What commonly triggers an IP block?
Named fictional characters from major franchises (Disney, Marvel, DC, Pixar, Nintendo, and others), sports team names and league branding (NBA, NFL, EPL), named living artists or photographers whose style is specifically referenced, and branded product names or logos used as generation subjects.
How do I rephrase after a block?
Rephrase using descriptive language instead of proper names. Instead of naming a character or franchise, describe the visual characteristics you want:

Remove branded reference images. If your reference image contains visible logos, branded merchandise, or recognizable copyrighted characters, replace it with a neutral image.
Will I get my credits back for a blocked generation?
Credits for generations blocked due to IP flags are returned automatically in most cases. Verify in Manage Account → Usage.
If the block was on an input you own (an uploaded photo, video, or character), you may see an I own the rights for this image button in the lower-right corner of the generation. Selecting it can unblock the generation when the input is eligible. If the input isn't eligible, the block stays in place.
My own original content was blocked by mistake. What do I do?
Even original content can be caught by the IP check, and in most cases the block can't be lifted: the safety systems are conservative by design. If the block is on an input you own, try the I own the rights for this image button in the lower-right corner of the generation, which can unblock it when the input is eligible. If it stays blocked, the most reliable path forward is to adjust the prompt or reference and regenerate: rephrase to avoid wording that resembles protected IP, or swap the reference image for one with a clearer composition.
