3D Cartoons & CGI

Cartoons aren't limited to flat, storybook style — Seedance 2.0 4K can also produce full 3D CGI, and this next shot pushes it about as hard as a single clip can. The clip you're about to see was a second-try result — no extensive iteration needed.

Stress-testing 3D CGI with motion and particles

The scene is a giant wind-up clown golem crashing through a floating carnival in the sky: a Ferris wheel, striped tents, and candy-colored towers drifting among the clouds, while performers on hot-air balloons swarm the golem with confetti and bursts of magic. The camera flies with the golem in one continuous FPV shot, diving in and out of gears, confetti clouds, and firework bursts, with two speed-ramps into macro slow motion along the way.

Watch how fast the camera rips past the gears and balloons. This much motion and this many flying particles usually breaks AI video generation — but the clip holds together: the color, the smoke, the reds, the haze all stay clean instead of collapsing into noise.

Why the color holds up: 10-bit output

Part of why this scene looks so clean comes down to color depth, not just the model. Seedance now outputs in 10-bit color instead of 8-bit:

  • 8-bit gives you about 16 million colors
  • 10-bit gives you over a billion

More colors mean smoother blends, so the smoke and reds in this shot melt together instead of stepping into the ugly banding you'd see in a cheap export. No banding means the footage reads as more expensive than it is.

To take advantage of it, set the bitrate to High in your export settings.
