With the match won, only two beats are left: a laugh, then the product shot that has to stick in people's minds.
Scene 11: the victory gag
Scene 11 closes out the cinematic story before the pack shot takes over. The win is already secured, so this beat is pure comedy rather than plot — a chance to end the story section on a laugh instead of another action shot.
Rather than writing the joke by hand, Claude was asked to pitch a few gag ideas for the hero robot after the win. The one that landed: the hero strikes an absurdly over-the-top victory pose on the empty street and holds it a beat too long — heroic, but with nobody around to see it, which is exactly what makes it funny. Claude then turned that idea into a full shot-by-shot prompt, and the very first generation nailed the timing. A few extra batches were run just to be safe, but the opening result was kept as-is. Scene 11 was locked on the first real try.
Scene 12: the pack shot
The pack shot is the last thing viewers see, so it's the one shot that has to land perfectly. The brief given to Claude: the can falls from the sky, cracks the ground on impact with chunks of asphalt flying off, then the name "TOPUP" builds on screen with the tagline "Power up your day."
The first generated version felt too static, and the logo build wasn't landing either, so the notes went back to Claude for a second pass:
- Add a dolly-in as the can drops, instead of a locked-off shot.
- Match the sunlight to Scene 1, so the pack shot doesn't feel lit differently from the rest of the film.
- On the name build, do a slow camera pullback while the letters assemble from separate pieces of metal locking together.
- Once "TOPUP" is fully formed, finish with an electrical lightning strike across it.
The revised generation delivered on every one of those notes, and that take became the final pack shot. With this locked, every scene in the commercial — from the opening walk to the closing logo — was now complete.
