Aït Baha 1936 | So That We Never Forget A Historical Epic from Southern Morocco In the mountains of southern Morocco, in the land of Aït Baha, one of the forgotten chapters of resistance was written in 1936. This promo was created as a proof of concept to secure funding for a full-length historical film. It revives those harsh and decisive moments when the men and women of the region faced the colonial machine with bare hands, unwavering courage, and an unbreakable will. Among mud-brick villages, dust, hunger, and fear— bravery was born, and resistance took shape. This is not merely a film promo. It is memory. It is testimony. It is loyalty to those who resisted—so their story is never forgotten. Creative & Technical Process This project was an exploration of how AI can become a tool for historical storytelling rooted in cultural identity. I used Nano Banana on the Google Flow platform to generate the base images. I combined Veo 3.1 and Kling 2.6 to generate and refine the visual sequences. I blended and edited all materials in DaVinci Resolve, using my modest skills as a video editor and colorist to create a cohesive cinematic atmosphere. The goal was not simply technical experimentation. It was to test whether AI—combined with my native language, Tamazight—could help bring authentic Moroccan historical narratives to life. Artistic Intent My objective is to explore a new cinematic language where: Artificial Intelligence becomes a creative partner, Indigenous language (Tamazight) becomes the voice of history, And forgotten Moroccan resistance stories regain visibility. This promo is the first step in proving that AI can empower creators from underrepresented cultures to tell their own stories—without waiting for large budgets or traditional gatekeepers. If selected, this project represents more than innovation. It represents memory, identity, and cultural reclamation through emerging technology.
