My process is visual-first. I build scenes before plot: • warm lantern light vs cold moonlight • laughter vs silence • wood, sweat, music vs fog, claws, whispers I let the atmosphere lead the narrative. Sam’s narration grounds the story. He isn’t heroic or mythical, he’s human, reacting in real time. His voice carries the shift from optimism to realization, from celebration to survival. The horror doesn’t arrive loudly; it circles.
