On an overcast afternoon in the late 1970s, a police officer and his partner respond to a distress call from an elderly woman who claims intruders are trying to break into her home. Upon arrival, the officers find the house eerily silent and strangely unsecured. As they split up to search the property, the lead officer enters a dark, powerless interior filled with broken decorations and unsettling stillness. Guided only by a flickering flashlight, he begins to sense that something is terribly wrong. Whispers, distant laughter, and fleeting shadows lead him deeper into the house, where he makes a horrifying discovery: his partner, long dead and grotesquely decayed, sits lifelessly clutching an old telephone. Panic sets in as the officer tries to escape, only to confront the mysterious elderly caller herself — whose true nature reveals a nightmare beyond comprehension. Gunshots shatter the darkness, and the story closes with a chilling twist that blurs the line between victim and predator, leaving the audience questioning who — or what — made the call.
