This work presents battle scenes from different eras in a single continuous flow. Beginning with attacks driven by survival in prehistory and moving through ancient warfare, line infantry combat of the early modern period, modern armed conflict, and remote warfare, human fighting has changed in form but has never truly disappeared. As technology advanced, humans moved farther from the battlefield, and combat became more efficient and safer to conduct. Yet within that change, the act of violence itself continues to repeat. The brief question in the final moment is directed toward the audience at the end of that repetition. Why do we still continue to wage war?
