(Dot Vs Circle) Nainital, India 1923. A colonial hill sanatorium wrapped in mountain fog. Ward boy Santosh Joseph is sent running down a stone corridor in the dead of night — Nurse Eve's voice urgent behind him: "Fetch Dr Morris. Now. It cannot wait." What follows is four minutes of quiet horror. Patients die. Santosh is always present. His nervous laugh — open-mouthed, reflexive, unstoppable — becomes the evidence that destroys him. Dr Reginald Morris arrives each time unhurried, makes one small mark in his leather journal, and speaks of fate with the calm of a man reading a timetable. A stool collapses. A lantern falls. A pharmacist finds a pattern in the arsenic logs — and slips on broken glass that was not there before. At 2 AM, a lamp moves down the hill road. No figure holds it. No shadow surrounds it. It reaches the bend and enters the fog. It does not come out the other side. Morris was never found. Santosh served 11 years. The journal was burned. The ruins stand near Snow View Point, Nainital. On fog nights, the lamp still moves. It has no source. It goes nowhere.
