Lone Wolf and Cub

This short anime is an action-driven tribute to the timeless “Lone wolf and cub” type of screenplay (in modern storytelling the most recent development of this kind of narrative style that comes up in my mind right now is The Mandalorian) At its core, the film follows a solitary anthropomorphic wolf knight, burdened with both a sword and a destiny: protecting a mysterious infant heir while navigating a hostile dungeon filled with danger. The narrative blends emotional subtext with fast-paced combat, contrasting vulnerability and violence — a hallmark of the genre. The child represents hope and legacy, while the warrior embodies sacrifice and duty. Visually and thematically, the short also pays homage to the world of Dungeons & Dragons, featuring iconic fantasy elements such as goblins and the fearsome owlbear, reinterpreted through a dynamic anime lens. By combining classic storytelling archetypes with high-energy action and stylized animation, this project aims to deliver both spectacle and emotional resonance in a compact cinematic format.
