KUMIKO: WAR OF LIBERATION is a science-fiction epic set in 2187, when Earth has been reduced to a biological-industrial colony of the Harkon Empire — an ancient alien civilization that harvests worlds the way machines harvest crops, leaving nothing behind but obedient workers wired to terminals and a sky full of warships. Into this occupation arrive the Kumiko: the last survivors of a paradise world the Harkon already destroyed, female apex warriors with bioluminescent tentacle-hair that functions as both sense organ and weapon, who have spent decades crossing the galaxy not to save humanity — they are clear about this — but to settle a debt. What follows is not a rescue story. It is the story of two peoples who have lost everything learning, reluctantly and at great cost, that loss shared is the only foundation strong enough to fight on. KUMIKO is built on a single conviction: that the most radical act in a universe designed to make resistance irrelevant is to resist anyway, to count the cost with open eyes, and to keep moving.
