In a parallel world to our own, wingless angels fall from the sky at intervals of several years. In the world of RIDE, their natural enemies are dragons. If a dragon does not willingly engage an angel in battle, someone must ride it into the fight. But no one can fly dragons except Hann. RIDE tells the fateful story of two souls who were born as Heaven Riders — children destined to be accepted by dragons as guiding beings. Before their training could begin, however, their parents were killed in an attack by dark elves, and the two children were lost and forgotten in the forest. A she-wolf raised them. One day, during another raid by dark elves, Hann was abducted. She managed to escape, but fled like a frightened dog into the darkness — into the cave of a dragon. Hann and Akif grew up separately and know nothing of each other. While her brother Akif serves in the Green Army as a trained dragon hunter guarding a portal to Tokyo in our world, Hann confronts and processes her childhood trauma alone among the dragons. Both Hann and Akif are aware of their powers. But Akif never learned how to fly dragons; instead, he was raised to fight them. The dragons — untamable for ordinary humans — plague not only his homeland in his world, but ours as well. In traditional cooperation, dragon slayers are forged into ninjas before they learn the techniques of killing dragons. In this short film, we experience — in parallel montage — the world of RIDE and the daydreams of Hann and Akif.
