RIO

The idea behind this short film was to show a small glimpse of what really happens during the conflicts inside the favelas of Rio de Janeiro. We chose a documentary-inspired approach, filmed in a 16mm style, to make the experience feel raw, intimate, and real. The saddest part is that this is not fiction — it reflects a reality still faced by many communities in Brazil. These conflicts take place in the same spaces where children play, parents work, and honest people try to live their lives in peace. This war should not exist where life is simply trying to continue. We hope this film makes people reflect as much as it entertains. @spikeandred
