THE LAST SIGNAL is an original sci-fi action short set inside a remote energy facility on the brink of total collapse. When a sudden system malfunction triggers cascading failures across the station, a lone engineer becomes the first and only line of defense. A diagnostic hologram reveals a critical breach forming deep within the core, and moments later a violent explosion rips through the control deck, throwing him into a scramble for survival. Bruised but determined, he forces a manual override that momentarily stabilizes the grid. But the explosion wasn’t caused by a mechanical fault something inside the reactor has awakened. As corrupted readings flicker and alarms shift from technical errors to unknown biological signatures, the engineer realizes the threat is far more dangerous than a malfunction. A tactical response team is deployed into the smoke-filled corridors, marching toward the core as the structure groans and trembles around them. What they encounter is a hostile organism formed from the very instability they were trying to contain a creature birthed from energy, pressure, and mutation.
