Anabasis

This is designed as the first chapter of a comprehensive series where I will recount the complete story of Xenophon's Anabasis: The March of the Ten Thousand. In short, the book details the harrowing retreat of a Greek mercenary army trapped in the heart of the Persian Empire after the death of Cyrus the Younger. Completely surrounded by enemies, they must undertake a brutal, fighting retreat northward to the Black Sea to secure their survival. This project will try to capture the story, and this is the first little segment, an intro.
