Battle of Tolvajärvi - The Counter-Attack

The frozen lakes forced the Finns into a direct push over open ice, under the enemy line of fire. On December 12, 1939, the time for delaying tactics was over. This video follows the critical hours of the main battle of Tolvajärvi, focusing on the center sector where Lieutenant Colonel Aaro Pajari led a relentless frontal assault across the ice.
