The story follows Oscar, a determined and humble man with an unbreakable fire, who works as an extra in major Hollywood productions. Despite the mockery of his peers and the skepticism of those around him due to his immigrant background, Oscar holds onto the firm promise that one day his face will be on ten-foot posters and he will hold the golden statue.
