In a forgotten corner of rural Zambia, Zamiwe, a resilient young woman, volunteers for a mysterious drug trial — not for science, but for survival. Desperate to reclaim her salon and support her family, she agrees to be injected with an untested green liquid, unaware that the trial was secretly approved by a corrupt government minister exploiting the poor for profit. But Zamiwe doesn’t die like the others. She survives — and awakens with strange, supernatural abilities she doesn’t understand and never asked for. As she grapples with her transformation, Zamiwe becomes an unwilling symbol of resistance, quietly using her powers to protect her community from the very system that tried to destroy her. All the while, the minister who authorized the trial begins to suspect her existence — and sees in her a weapon to be controlled. What follows is a tense, emotional David vs. Goliath battle, where Zamiwe must stay hidden, stay strong, and decide how far she’s willing to go to fight back.
