The Earth is completely devastated. Humanity survives in isolation inside a vast city protected by a dome, while the rest of the planet is an uninhabitable desert. Within that dome exists an advanced system of artificial intelligences created to care for and protect humans. Ángel Tercero is one of these beings: an artificial clone, designed to obey, observe, and feel nothing. However, something within him has changed. Ángel Tercero longs to be human.
