Dreams of Time Concept Overview Dreams of Time is a short film with a fragmented, dream-driven narrative that explores the perception of time, memory, and imagination through a multiversal journey where the same protagonist exists across different realities. The story begins in a fantasy world where the protagonist soars through the skies alongside his dragon, establishing a tone of adventure and discovery. The atmosphere shifts abruptly when they arrive at a fog-covered port, where spectral pirates — skeletons and ghosts — capture him, marking the first rupture of reality. From that moment, the narrative becomes episodic and transitional: the setting transforms into a battlefield of World War I / World War II, filled with gunfire, explosions, and the detonation of a nuclear bomb. The white flash acts as a visual bridge that transports us into a football stadium at peak collective euphoria. There, the protagonist strikes a decisive shot toward the top corner; the suspense is interrupted when the neighborhood suddenly loses power, leaving the outcome unresolved. Out of the darkness we emerge in Ancient Egypt, reimagined through a science-fiction lens: alien civilizations assist in the construction of the pyramids, expanding the story’s temporal scale. The protagonist reappears piloting a futuristic spacecraft — unrelated to those aliens — which leads him toward the ocean, where he mysteriously vanishes. The sequence culminates in a titanic battle between a Kaiju and a Jaeger. After the climax, a revelation suggests that all realities may have been part of a game: the protagonist appears in a room playing with toys representing each universe. Yet the ambiguity remains when the Time Police (ICE Time) arrive and take him away, leaving the central question unresolved: was it imagination, simulation… or memories from multiple timelines?
