A FLOWER AMONG THORNS

In the world of action cinema, we're used to physical blows. In "A Flower Among Thorns," I wanted to capture the blows we don't see, the ones that hit us deep inside. This project is a visceral response to a tragic news story that occurred in France a few weeks ago and profoundly affected me: the story of a young girl who decided to stop after her cries for help regarding school bullying were silenced by an ill-equipped justice system. The action is more than just a stunt; it's an impact. I redefined the "action scene" as a psychological battlefield: The Hero: A solitary fly, fragile and vulnerable. The Aggression: A blinding cloud of pollen, a metaphor for the disorientation and loss of bearings caused by bullying. The Climax: A violent shockwave represents a society moving too fast to see the individual, sweeping them away in a fog of indifference. The ladybug remains; for me, it represents those who see without acting, without taking sides. Often out of fear. The final transmutation into gold dust is a tribute to resilience, an eternal light. Here is my "Action Scene": the violent and invisible struggle for a life to be heard.
