A young woman wakes in the dim glow of a television reporting the outbreak of a mysterious global pandemic. As days pass, she experiences the illness firsthand — wandering through empty streets, witnessing panic, isolation, and societal collapse before being rushed into a hospital where her condition worsens. As her heartbeat fades and reality dissolves into a blinding white void, she suddenly awakens safely at home, believing it was only a nightmare.
