Raíces del mictlan

I don’t have much time to make a full movie, but I can create this short film. If I had more budget and more time, it would be a feature film. My idea is to tell a story about Aztec gods, where the protagonist is a demigod who awakens by rediscovering his indigenous and Mesoamerican roots. Through this journey, the power he gains could either make him fall or allow him to be reborn from the ashes. I am also a student and I don’t have much money. I work while studying, and if I could receive support, I would be able to make this into a real film. I know it is only a short film, but I am going through difficult moments and often struggle with anxiety because of my studies. I am a writer, and I dream of turning my stories into films one day. If I were to win, I would fully dedicate myself to the film and use the support to help finance my final year as a student. Sometimes I feel overwhelmed and like I don’t have the mental energy to do so many things at once. What I truly love are stories, and even if I didn’t win, I would still feel proud and satisfied just for having participated.
