On the outskirts of a major Brazilian city, Lucas, a 16-year-old Black teenager and promising football player, sees his world collapse when his father — his only reference of love and protection — discovers that he is gay and throws him out of the house. Alone, hurt, and without direction, Lucas is forced to face the harshness of the streets, prejudice, and the weight of rejection, while trying to survive in an environment that insists on denying his existence. Between memories of a childhood marked by his father’s affection and the discovery of a new kind of love when he meets Pedro, a young man from a completely different reality, Lucas begins a painful and transformative journey in search of acceptance, belonging, and dignity. Lucas is a sensitive and powerful drama about love, loss, and identity, exposing the contradictions between affection and prejudice, and revealing the strength required to exist in a world that, too often, insists on exclusion.
