Against The Arrow

Set against the violent turbulence of the Warring States era, a storm-lashed archery duel is staged to decide the rightful bearer of the title of Female General. Two warriors stand in silent opposition, their resolve unbroken as their arrows collide in midair, sealing the outcome in a single, merciless exchange. The victor’s shot pierces through its rival, striking the defeated warrior in the shoulder. Bound by the unforgiving laws of the court, defeat carries a final sentence: execution beneath a rain of arrows, punishment for the so-called crime of “incompetence.” As death descends, the general steps into the storm of arrows, offering his own body as shield. In that moment of defiance, destiny is overturned. What was meant to be an end becomes the first step of a new journey—one forged in blood, sacrifice, and the will to survive.
