Al Hadba rising again

The Al-Hadba Minaret, a historic symbol of Mosul, was destroyed in 2017 during the battle to liberate the city from ISIS. Years later, the Iraqi government and UNESCO launched a project to rebuild it as part of the “Revive the Spirit of Mosul” initiative. Reconstructed in its original leaning form, the minaret now stands as a powerful symbol of Mosul’s resilience and rebirth.
