Since moving to Omiš, I’ve heard many stories about Mila Gojsalić.
About a woman born out of this stone. About defiance. About the kind of decision you make when there’s nowhere left to go. Her story was never just history to me. It was a question.
What happens when you reach the edge? For years, I’ve wanted to make films exactly the way I see them in my head.
No compromises. This film came from stubbornness and curiosity.
I wanted to see if, using these new tools, I could create a film about a world I had previously only imagined. AI is not a shortcut. It’s not magic.
The idea still matters most. The story. The emotion. In the legend, Mila was pushed against a wall. There was no way out. She didn’t give up. Maybe the same applies to creating today.
When it feels like the doors are closed, maybe it’s time to change the rules of the game. This is my first film made with the help of AI. And I’ve only scratched the surface.
