As the Thai-style horror slowly unfolds, he begins to realize that this is not a path to salvation, but a threshold of transformation. In the end, he becomes the very being, her, or it. He crosses that boundary by choice. To the world, it marks the beginning of something terrifying. For him, it is a courageous new chapter.
