Lucid Dreamer

“Lucid Dreamer” is the story of a man who seeks to become aware of and control his dreams. Instead of facing his dull and powerless reality, he chooses to build his own world through lucid dreaming. After practicing dream journaling, passing through the transitional phase, and reaching the “Dream Eye” state, he finally succeeds in recognizing that he is inside a dream. But at that very moment, a mysterious entity known as the “Projectile” appears and begins destroying his world. Gunfire, missiles, even nuclear strikes fail to stop it. In the final confrontation, he is forced to face the truth — the entity is none other than himself. The Projectile delivers a single message: “Live in reality.” This film explores the collision between escapist fantasy and the true self, and portrays the awakening of a man who has been deceiving himself. 🎬 Director’s Intent This work is not merely a lucid dreaming fantasy. The war inside the dream represents an internal battle against reality avoidance. The Projectile is neither a ghost nor a dreamwalker it is the embodiment of the self that has been turning away from reality. In the final scene, the reflection in the mirror changes, symbolizing the contrast between the heroic self in dreams and the powerless self in reality.
