The competition dates aligned with a completely new era of AI-generated video, marked by the launch of Seedance 2.0. The quality of motion has improved so significantly that it shifts the conversation from “it looks good, I barely see AI artifacts” to actually discussing the story first. I didn’t want to simply benchmark the model’s capabilities with an overload of action. My goal was to let the story drive the action — not the other way around. I didn’t have enough time to fully realize all of my ideas. Still, I’m grateful to Higgsfield for the deadline — it pushed me forward and reduced my tendency to procrastinate. Thanks to all my friends who shared their thoughts at every stage of the process and helped shape this project.
