Little Red 21st
Fairy tales were never just bedtime stories. They were a way to explain the world to children — its dangers, its rules, and the kinds of people they might one day encounter — using simple images and stories that were easy to understand and hard to forget. This short film explores the idea of updating a familiar fairy tale so it can continue to do that job today. While the structure stays easy to follow, the story quietly introduces ideas and details that reflect parts of the modern world that didn’t exist a few generations ago. In older fairy tales, danger was often clear and easy to recognize. A predator looked like a predator. Today, threats are more subtle. The film uses the language of fairy tales to gently explore what a “predator” can mean in today’s world. At the same time, the story looks at character and courage, suggesting that bravery isn’t always found in the people we expect.
