This piece came from something very simple. A guy goes to a supermarket to grab an avocado. Someone says “I saw it first” and in a second his mind turns it into a war. The tension grows, the ego activates, the body prepares for conflict. But none of it is real. When the moment resolves, there was never a fight. What interested me wasn’t the avocado. It was that instant where we project threat before reality even responds. How fast we build enemies in our heads. How much energy we waste defending ourselves from stories we create. It’s a small situation, but it reflects something very human. Most of the battles we think we’re fighting only exist inside us.
