SYSTEM SHOCK - Inspired by Real Events
System Shock is a cinematic short exploring migration, motherhood, corporate identity, and resilience inside the financial heart of London. Told through controlled realism and a recurring fracture motif, the film follows a woman who builds stability across economic collapse, cultural displacement, and redundancy ... only to discover that true stability was never structural. From Farringdon’s silent platforms during lockdown to the glass towers of Aldergate Street, the system keeps moving. She stops moving with it. Blending grounded performance with environmental rupture, the film examines what happens when external systems fail ... but internal identity does not. Featuring multilingual voice (with english text on screen when used) and London-specific environments, the film blends personal narrative with architectural realism. At its core, System Shock is not about breaking the system. It’s about standing when it shakes.
