Carter Morgan, a retired gunslinger with a violent past, is pulled back into action when the mayor’s daughter is kidnapped by the ruthless outlaw Jackson Green, also known as Jack the Devil. Though Carter has sworn to leave that life behind, he chooses to ride out one last time. With the help of his partner Jesse, Carter infiltrates Jackson’s hideout in a desert compound. What follows is a tense and brutal confrontation that leads to a final standoff between Carter and Jackson. Carter defeats him, but not without suffering fatal injuries. As Carter attempts to escape with the rescued girl, he is shot again. Realizing he won’t survive, he orders Jesse to take the girl and leave. Carter stays behind, holding off the approaching enemies to ensure their escape. In the end, Carter dies with a faint smile, knowing the girl is safe. The story closes on a locket resting against his chest — a symbol of his past, his loss, and the legacy he chose to protect. Mission Beehive is not a story about revenge.
