A man goes out kayaking in search of calm, but the sea pulls him into the unknown. After an encounter with an inexplicable creature, he awakens in a world disturbingly similar to his own: a ruined civilization now ruled by other forms of life. As he struggles to survive and find his way back, the protagonist is forced to confront a deeper question than danger itself—what remains of a humanity that believed it could dominate nature?
