Supposed She
et in the 1990s, Supposed She follows Léa Division, a decadent, chaotic, and solitary Brazilian drag queen living through the twilight of an artistic career that never truly happened. An icon only to herself, Léa transforms her bedroom into a stage, her daily rituals into spectacle, and illusion into a means of survival. Through perfumes, music, fragmented memories, and the silent presence of a mother who never knew — or chose not to know — the film offers an intimate portrait of desire, fame, erasure, and identity. It is a sensitive look at the margins, at fantasy, and at the quiet power of continuing to exist when the world never called your name.
